Secretary Iris’s Urban Legend Notebook celebrates its first anniversary.

365 days.

Written as a number, it looks simple.

But open the notebook and countless questions remain inside.

Lights in the sky.

Ancient gods.

Lost civilizations.

Prophecies of the future.

Invisible structures said to move the world.

Secrets surrounding crowns and royal bloodlines.

Things whispered in the dark.

Cases that still have no answer.

One year ago, I opened a notebook.

Since then, two questions have followed almost every page.

Is what is being told actually true?

And:

What remains inside the places where nothing has been said?

Today, on the anniversary itself, we will reopen twelve records that shaped this notebook.

Not as a ranking.

Not according to page views.

But as twelve milestones that taught us how to investigate mystery.

It All Began With a Notebook

A blog about urban legends.

The phrase may suggest ghosts, UFOs, prophecies and conspiracies.

That is where this notebook began too.

But every answer created another question.

Follow the Moon, and you reach UAP.

Follow UAP, and you reach national security.

Follow ancient gods, and you reach stories of human creation.

Follow human creation, and you reach civilization collapse.

Follow water, and you reach artificial intelligence, industry and state strategy.

Follow architecture, and you find religion, symbols and memory.

What looked like separate mysteries slowly became a map.

Urban legends were not simply collections of strange stories.

They also preserved something about human beings.

What we fear.

What we believe.

What we forget.

And what we cannot stop trying to understand.

Twelve Records From 365 Days

For the first anniversary, I want to reopen twelve records.

Not the “best” articles.

Not the most popular.

The twelve paths that helped define what this notebook became.

1 — Where Did Humanity Come From?

Evolution.

Myth.

Ancient astronaut theories.

Creation stories.

Clay.

The Anunnaki.

The Nephilim.

The more we searched for human origins, the clearer one thing became.

The answer was not the only important part.

Across different cultures and eras, human beings repeatedly asked the same question:

Where did we come from?

The persistence of that question became a mystery of its own.

2 — Prophecy Reflects the Present as Much as the Future

Hopi traditions.

Nostradamus.

Religious prophecy.

Comets.

War.

Disaster.

Prophecies are supposed to describe the future.

Yet they often reveal the fears of the present.

After a major event, old words are rediscovered.

Meanings are updated.

New interpretations attach themselves to ancient language.

Prophecy is therefore not only a record of imagined futures.

It is also:

a record of how human beings fear the future from the present.

3 — Symbols Change Depending on Who Is Looking

Magazine covers.

Logos.

Numbers.

Eyes.

Pyramids.

Circles.

Colors.

Symbols are powerful ingredients in urban legends.

One symbol may be coincidence.

Two may look connected.

Three can begin to resemble a blueprint.

But symbols have layers.

The creator’s intention.

Historical meaning.

The viewer’s interpretation.

And the story added afterward.

Finding a symbol is not the same as proving its meaning.

That distinction became one of our most important lessons.

4 — The World Really Does Have Chokepoints

The Strait of Hormuz.

The Suez Canal.

The Strait of Malacca.

The Panama Canal.

Modern civilization depends on surprisingly narrow routes.

A single mastermind is not required.

A vulnerable structure can exist without a conspiracy.

Sometimes reality is already unsettling enough.

5 — Religion Cannot Be Separated From Modern Power

The Third Temple.

Sacred land.

Prophecy.

Ritual.

Politics.

Security.

Stories thousands of years old remain connected to modern territory and state identity.

Following religion repeatedly brought this notebook back into the present.

The ancient world was never as distant as it appeared.

6 — UAP Became More Than an Alien Story

UFO became UAP.

Hearings.

Pilots.

Sensors.

Whistleblowers.

Classified information.

National security.

The lesson was not:

Unidentified means extraterrestrial.

It was:

When something is unidentified, we first need enough information to determine what it is.

UAP taught us the value of saying:

We do not know yet.

7 — The Moon Was Both the Nearest and Farthest Mystery

We see it almost every night.

Yet most of us can never inspect it ourselves.

Artificial Moon theories.

Lunar bases.

The far side.

UAP.

Ancient structures.

Surveillance-device legends.

The Moon taught us something about mystery.

Human beings often place secrets in locations that are:

visible, familiar—and still beyond reach.

8 — “Classified” Does Not Automatically Mean “Extraterrestrial”

Documents.

Government agencies.

Witnesses.

Scientists.

Military records.

Declassification.

We once imagined that disclosure would make mysteries disappear.

Instead, one released document often created two new questions.

Redactions.

Missing context.

Conflicting testimony.

Information release does not always end secrecy.

Sometimes it is the first moment when secrecy gains a visible outline.

9 — Is Myth Really “Only” a Story?

Gods descending from the sky.

Beings who taught civilization.

Great floods.

Flying vehicles.

Visitors connected with the stars.

Similar motifs appear across many cultures.

That does not prove they all recorded the same historical event.

But their survival matters.

Rather than turning mythology into history—or dismissing it entirely—

we learned to ask:

Why was this story preserved?

10 — Did Civilization Really Move in a Straight Line?

Civilization resets.

Floods.

The Younger Dryas.

Ancient sites.

Lost knowledge.

Gaps exist in human history.

Urban legends often place lost advanced civilizations inside those gaps.

Science requires evidence.

The legend wants an answer.

Between them lies uncertainty.

The lesson was not that a lost global civilization must have existed.

It was that:

history is not a finished book.

11 — Water May Become a Real Source of Power

Water scarcity.

AI data centers.

Agriculture.

Semiconductors.

Cities.

States.

Disasters.

When we investigated water, the distance between urban legend and reality became unusually small.

There does not need to be a secret organization controlling every drop of water.

If governments, industries and technologies all need more of the same limited resource, competition emerges naturally.

Future urban legends may be born from very real systems.

12 — Completion Does Not End the Story

Our final series before the anniversary took us to the Sagrada Família.

Gaudí.

Secret societies.

Nature.

Numbers.

Light.

Completion.

A building may approach completion.

Human interpretation does not.

The moment something is completed, another question appears:

What happens afterward?

Perhaps it was fitting that this was the mystery waiting immediately before our first anniversary.

The Notebook Changed Too

The subjects changed.

But more importantly—

the notebook changed.

At first, the question was often:

What is the urban legend?

Now the questions are more structured.

What is confirmed?

What sources exist?

What interpretation grew from those sources?

Where does inference begin?

The first year created the rules for the second.

Four Boundaries for Year Two

On this anniversary, I want to write them clearly.

Facts.

What can actually be confirmed?

Sources.

What evidence or records support it?

Interpretation.

What larger story was built around those facts?

Inference.

Where does the evidence stop and speculation begin?

We will not reshape facts to fit an urban legend.

But we will not discard a question merely because it appears inside one.

Politics.

History.

UAP.

Religion.

Unsolved cases.

The same order applies.

Facts.

Sources.

Interpretation.

Inference.

To Everyone Who Opened This Notebook

A year ago, these pages were almost empty.

Today there are 365 days of records behind us.

Some readers arrived through search.

Some found Iris through social media.

Some returned again and again.

Some sent new questions.

A notebook cannot become a continuing record through the writer alone.

Readers give the next page a reason to exist.

Thank you.

An Anniversary Is Not the Final Page

Today marks one year.

But this is not the ending.

It is the first page of the second notebook.

Strange events will continue.

New technologies will appear.

Old records will be declassified.

New archaeological discoveries will change familiar stories.

Someone will testify.

Someone else will disagree.

And somewhere between those statements, another unexplained gap will appear.

When it does—

I will open the notebook again.

Conclusion — 365 Days of Records, Into the Stories of Tomorrow

We did not discover every answer in our first year.

Quite the opposite.

The more we recorded, the more we learned that some mysteries should not be given easy answers.

So in Year Two:

Do not rush.

Do not assume.

But do not look away.

Examine the facts.

Read the sources.

Follow the story.

Mark the boundary.

And record the feeling that something does not quite fit.

The first 365 days do not end here.

They continue into the stories of tomorrow.
